What started as an album cover for Kanye West album titled “Waves” later became the art direction for Katy Perry’s single - “Rise”. We pitched Joe Perez the album cover designer for kanye’s previous album “Yeezus” about the project being used for Kanye’s next album Cover.

Kanye being Kanye changed the album title about 20 times and later landed on “The Life of Pablo.” which Perez later designed.
